Events have special meaning when others benefit from a group's collective actions. The 'materials' for this event are non-perishable food items that end up being donated to local family food-bank organizations. The End-Hunger Games combine an interactive keynote introduction focusing on the concepts of Giving and Gratitude a with a action-packed series of challenges to earn food to use. It's Philanthropic Fun!
An experienced facilitator will lead this program from the start to the gratifying conclusion. Following a speedy introduction, the group will participate in a series of interactive partner challenges. A discussion will then be lead with our facilitator offering a keynote address about team work and the benefits of both gratitude and giving.
As the games continue, teams will face a gauntlet of challenges featuring activities centered around the soon-to-be-donated non-perishable food items. The better a team's performance, the more resources they will have to put into building their final structure. Groups that embrace the concept of support and fully commit to giving their best to each other will thrive.
The End-Hunger Games is designed to deliver a series of challenges and lessons that focus on the concepts of Giving and Gratitude. Following a speedy introduction, the group will be participating in an interesting partner challenge that will get people into a more interactive and open place. A discussion will then be lead with our facilitator offering a keynote address about team work and the benefits of both gratitude and giving. Groups will be formed where people will share with one another from their own personal experiences. The whole group will reconvene and share a few select highlights.
As part of the introduction, teams will participate in a simple Paper Challenge. There are layers of complexity that will soon be revealed as the team attempts to achieve high-performance results distributing paper as judged by time. Successive attempts invariably lead the group from failure to a high-five celebration of success. Groups that embrace the concept of support and fully commit to giving their best to each other will thrive.
In order to earn the raw materials for the main challenge, teams will face a gauntlet of challenges featuring activities centered around the soon-to-be-donated non-perishable food items. Teams may be awarded with funding or materials to help build their creations. The better a team's performance, the more resources they will have to put into building their final structure. Teams will have a chance to use the funds they've earned to visit a nearby supermarket to augment their building materials. Judicious planning and budgeting will yield the most effective and interesting food items that may make the difference between mediocre and magnificent.
Teams will then build a themed sculpture made of the food they've gathered. Themes may be related to nearby holidays (Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas, etc.) or organizational goals or initiatives. The build will be timed to create a sense of urgency. Final products will be displayed and judged by the entire group. Once the winning team has been selected the final stage in this program will include a facilitated debrief focusing on gratitude, opportunities to give/volunteer/help and sharing among the participants.
A short presentation from a nearby charitable food distribution organization will be made informing the group about their mission and giving some details about the people in need that they serve. This will form a real picture for participants of the difference that giving can make in people's lives. The group will assist in transporting the food to a waiting transport vehicle so the food bank can take the donation directly back to their facility. People will leave feeling both touched and uplifted by participating in The End-Hunger Games.
The price we quote you is the price you pay. We include any related travel and miscellaneous costs in our quote so you can feel confident your budget will be met for the program.
